Child and Family Advisory Committee
- Assisting with identifying priority actions/activities for the coming year that will support the OCFS
- Identifying strategies to improve and strengthen the Child and Family Advisory Committee
- Assisting the OCFS with planning and statewide system development
- Assisting the OCFS with monitoring to ensure quality, planning for service expansion and refining the system, ongoing financing and coordination of the system
- Advising and assisting with the development of policies and components of the service delivery system
- Ensuring that the OCFS maintains an emphasis on keeping services family driven
- Providing a forum for the discussion of sensitive issues
- Assisting with identifying unmet needs, barriers, and solutions
- Promoting OCFS visibility to promote recognition
- Providing a statewide network for communication
- Promoting uniformity for a statewide system to ensure access to services for children and families
