Licensing Of Children’s Residential Services

The application and licensing process for residential facilities for children and adolescents is a slightly different process than licensing a service just through the DMHMRSAS. The licensing or certification of these services is coordinated through the Office of Interdepartmental Regulation. Four state departments make up the Interdepartmental Office: The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, [DMHMRSAS], the Department of Social Services, [DSS], the Department of Education, [DOE], and, the Department of Juvenile Justice, [DJJ].

Initial applications are obtained from Interdepartmental Office, Department of Social Services.
