Comprehensive State Plan 2008 - 2014

The Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse Services Comprehensive State Plan 2008-2014 is now available.

Section37.2-315 of the Code of Virginia requires that the Department develop and biennially update a six-year plan for mental health, mental retardation, and substance abuse services. The plan identifies services and supports needed by persons with mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities or substance use disorders across the Commonwealth defines resource requirements, and proposes strategies to address these needs.
