2006 Volunteer Recognition Luncheon

The State Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services Board held its annual Volunteer Luncheon on Friday, April 7, 2006, in Richmond to honor its most distinguished volunteers across the Commonwealth. James S. Reinhard, M.D., Commissioner of the Department, and Marilyn Tavenner, Secretary of Health and Human Resources, attended the luncheon and expressed their gratitude to the many volunteers across the Commonwealth. "For many, many years volunteers have been a critical part of the provision of services in our state facilities and in the community services boards. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most creative, energetic, and selfless volunteers as a facility director and as Commissioner in this agency. Our volunteer luncheon is just one small way of saying 'thank-you'”, said Commissioner Reinhard.
